What Is Eyes On The Wild?

‍We are a small team dedicated to preserving our natural world, working with local people, and providing education about various animal and plant species — many of which you may have never heard of before. We pride ourselves in our transparency, and aim to share the excitement of our adventures and discoveries with you!

‍We originally began as “The Sumatra Camera Trap Project” (or SumatraCTP for short) — with co-founders Anthony Hearn and Pungky Pratama, in February 2018. Over time, Anthony and Pungky each started other small passion-projects which ran alongside SumatraCTP, including “The Jungle Library Project”, “Flora Rescue Project”, and “The Big Sumatra Bird Watch”. Along with their numerous conservation efforts, they assembled a dedicated team, providing both volunteer opportunities and jobs.

‍By 2024, discussions began about combining the individual projects under one umbrella. By July 2025, “Eyes On The Wild” was created. Anthony and Pungky united a dedicated team of trustees (Leanne, Robert, and Ashley) and volunteers, and we are currently in the process of applying for official charity status.

‍We couldn’t have achieved all of this without our volunteers and supporters. Thank you to all for your ongoing support and enthusiasm!
